Lemongrass & Citriodora (Lemon Eucalyptus) Essential Oil Set of 2, 30ml — Natural Mosquito Repellent
Couldn't load pickup availability
Two grassy, lemon-scented oils from two different plants, in separate bottles, 30 ml each. Lemongrass is steam-distilled from the leaves of an Indian grass. Lemon eucalyptus is steam-distilled from Eucalyptus citriodora leaves grown in Karnataka, and it is the species used in natural repellent blends rather than in steam. Both supplied undiluted.

| Lemon Eucalyptus | Eucalyptus citriodora | Steam distilled | Leaves | Karnataka, India | 30 ml |
The balcony-and-doorway pair
- Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) — Grassy and sharply lemony, with a green edge that citrus peel oils do not have. Steam-distilled from the leaves of a grass grown across India, and one of the oils traditionally used in home sprays, mopping water and outdoor blends.
- Lemon Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus citriodora) — Lemony and camphorous — a different species from common eucalyptus. Citriodora is the one traditionally used in natural repellent blends rather than in steam.
How to use
Outdoor spray. In a 100 ml bottle: 20 drops split evenly between the two oils, 10 ml of witch hazel or alcohol to disperse them, topped up with water. Shake before every use.
Doorways and window screens. Mist the frames rather than the air — 15–20 drops in the same 100 ml base, refreshed every couple of hours.
Diffuser. 5–8 drops in the tank, two parts lemongrass to one part lemon eucalyptus.
Skin blend for adults. 2% in a carrier oil — 4 drops per 10 ml of coconut, jojoba or almond oil. Patch test first.

Frequently asked questions
Is lemon eucalyptus the same as eucalyptus?
No — different species entirely. Eucalyptus citriodora is the lemony one used in repellent blends; Eucalyptus globulus is the camphorous one used in steam. They are not interchangeable.
Which of the two does what?
Lemon eucalyptus is the outdoor one — the species traditionally used in repellent blends. Lemongrass is the broader worker: sprays, mop water and diffusers.
How do I turn these into a spray?
In a 100 ml spray bottle: 20–30 drops total of essential oil, 10 ml of alcohol or witch hazel to disperse it, topped up with water. Shake before every use — oil and water separate.
How long does a natural repellent last?
Plant oils evaporate faster than synthetic actives, so reapply every 1–2 hours outdoors. We do not claim a protection duration or an effectiveness percentage — if you are in a high-risk area for mosquito-borne illness, use a tested repellent.
Is it safe for children?
Not for infants. For children over two, halve the dilution and keep it off hands and faces. Ask your paediatrician first, and never apply undiluted oil to a child's skin.
Can I use these in a diffuser instead of on skin?
Yes, and for indoor evenings it is the easier option. 5–8 drops in an ultrasonic diffuser scents a normal-sized room.
