Rosemary & Cedarwood Essential Oil Set of 2 — Hair & Scalp Care
Rosemary & Cedarwood Essential Oil Set of 2 — Hair & Scalp Care
Couldn't load pickup availability
The two oils that appear in almost every traditional scalp-oil recipe, in two separate bottles, in your choice of 15 ml or 30 ml. Rosemary is herbaceous and stimulating on the scalp; Himalayan cedarwood is warm, woody and grounds the blend. Steam-distilled and hydro-distilled respectively, undiluted, so you mix them into your own carrier oil at the strength you want.
What’s in this set
| Oil | Botanical name | Extraction | Plant part | Size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rosemary | Rosmarinus officinalis | Steam distilled | Leaves | 15 or 30 ml |
| Himalayan Cedarwood | Cedrus deodara | Hydro distilled | Wood | 15 or 30 ml |
Why rosemary and cedarwood are paired
- Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) — The reason most people buy a hair set. Herbaceous and sharp — traditionally massaged into the scalp in a carrier oil as part of a weekly hair-care routine.
- Himalayan Cedarwood (Cedrus deodara) — Warm, dry and woody. The traditional partner to rosemary in scalp oils, and a grounding base note that stops a floral blend smelling thin.
How to use
The standard scalp blend. 2 drops rosemary and 2 drops cedarwood per 10 ml of jojoba, coconut or almond oil. Massage into the scalp for five minutes, leave 30–60 minutes or overnight, shampoo out. Twice a week.
Into a bottle you already own. 10–15 drops total into 100 ml of your usual hair oil, shaken well.
Beard oil. 2 drops cedarwood per 10 ml jojoba, worked in after a shower.

Safety & storage
- Never apply undiluted essential oil to skin. Dilute in a carrier oil first.
- Patch test on the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before wider use.
- Not to be taken internally. Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets. Consult a doctor if pregnant, nursing or under medical care.
- Store upright in the closed amber bottle, away from sunlight and heat. Flammable — keep away from open flame.
Frequently asked questions
Why not just buy rosemary on its own?
You can — we sell it separately. Cedarwood is in the pair because it is the traditional companion oil and because it makes the blend far more pleasant to leave on for an hour.
Do I need to dilute rosemary oil before putting it on my scalp?
Yes. Essential oils are concentrates, not hair oils. Mix 2–3 drops per 10 ml of a carrier such as jojoba, coconut or almond oil — roughly a 1–2% dilution — and massage that into the scalp.
How often should I use it?
Most people settle on twice a week. Massage in, leave for 30–60 minutes or overnight on a towel, then shampoo out.
Can I leave it in overnight?
Yes, once it is diluted in a carrier oil. Do a patch test behind the ear first, and use an old pillowcase.
Does rosemary oil actually work for hair?
It has a long traditional history in scalp care and is one of the most-used oils in the category. We do not make medical or regrowth claims for it — if you are dealing with significant hair loss, that is a conversation for a dermatologist.
Can I add these to my regular hair oil bottle?
That is the easiest way to use them. Add 10–15 drops to a 100 ml bottle of your usual carrier oil, shake, and use as normal.
