Home Care Essential Oil Set of 6, 15ml — Cinnamon, Gingergrass, Lemon, Citronella, Lemon Eucalyptus & Lemongrass
Couldn't load pickup availability
Six 15 ml bottles for the house rather than the skin: bright citrus for kitchens, grassy citronella and lemon eucalyptus for doorways and balconies, cinnamon leaf and gingergrass as warm base notes that keep a blend from vanishing in ten minutes. Steam-distilled and cold-pressed, undiluted, supplied as six separate bottles for the diffuser, the mop bucket and the spray bottle.

What each one does around the house
- Cinnamon Leaf (Cinnamomum verum) — Spicy and warming. This is leaf oil, not bark — softer and far gentler on skin than cinnamon bark, though still strong enough to need careful dilution.
- Gingergrass (Cymbopogon martinii) — A warm, earthy-grassy cousin of palmarosa. An unusual, long-lasting base note for home blends that most collections never include.
- Lemon (Citrus limon) — Clean, sharp and instantly recognisable. The kitchen and living-room oil. Cold-pressed citrus is photosensitising, so keep it off skin that will see sunlight.
- Ceylon Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) — The oil most people already know from garden candles. Traditionally used on verandahs, balconies and doorways as a natural insect deterrent.
- Lemon Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus citriodora) — Lemony and camphorous — a different species from common eucalyptus. Citriodora is the one traditionally used in natural repellent blends rather than in steam.
- Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) — Bright, grassy citrus. A staple of Indian home sprays and mop water, and traditionally used outdoors as a natural insect deterrent.
How to use
Diffuser. 5–8 drops in the water tank. Three lemon to one cinnamon leaf is the blend most people land on.
Floor and surface wash. 10–15 drops of lemongrass or lemon in a bucket of mop water, or in a 500 ml spray of water with a splash of vinegar.
Doorway and balcony spray. In 100 ml: 25 drops split between citronella, lemongrass and lemon eucalyptus, 10 ml witch hazel or alcohol, topped up with water. Shake before every use.
Linen and bin freshening. 2–3 drops on a cotton pad tucked into a cupboard, or on the cardboard tube of a bin liner roll.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use these on skin too?
Lemon, cinnamon leaf and lemon eucalyptus need care. Cold-pressed lemon is photosensitising, cinnamon leaf can irritate, and all of them need diluting to 1–2%. This set was built for the home, not the face.
How many drops go into a diffuser?
5–8 drops in a standard 100–300 ml ultrasonic diffuser. Run it 30–60 minutes at a time rather than continuously.
Can I use these for cleaning?
Yes, and it is one of the most practical uses. Add 10–15 drops to a bucket of mop water or a 500 ml spray of water and vinegar.
Are essential oils safe around pets?
Be careful. Cats in particular metabolise these compounds poorly. Diffuse only in ventilated rooms, never in a closed space a pet cannot leave, and check with your vet.
Which oils go together?
Citrus with grassy oils is the easy win for a home blend, and a woody or earthy oil as a base makes the scent last. Start at a 2:1 ratio of top note to base note.
Will these stain my furniture or floors?
Undiluted oil can mark polished and painted surfaces, and citrus can soften some plastics. Always dilute, and wipe spills immediately.
