Four 15 ml bottles covering steam, skin, sleep and the house: eucalyptus for the steam bowl, tea tree for blemish-prone skin, lavender for the evening, lemongrass for cleaning and the diffuser. Steam-distilled, undiluted, four separate bottles — the seasonal counterpart to our lavender-and-rosemary set of four.

What’s in this set

Oil Botanical name Extraction Plant part Size
Lavender Lavandula angustifolia Steam distilled Flowering tops 15 ml
Eucalyptus Eucalyptus globulus Steam distilled Leaves 15 ml
Tea Tree Melaleuca alternifolia Steam distilled Leaves 15 ml
Lemongrass Cymbopogon citratus Steam distilled Leaves 15 ml

Four oils, four jobs

  • Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) — The all-rounder of any collection. Soft, floral and familiar — traditionally used to wind down in the evening, and the one oil most people reach for first in a diffuser.
  • Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) — The steam-bowl classic. A familiar, clearing aroma that Indian households have leaned on through every change of season.
  • Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) — Sharp, green and unmistakably medicinal. The classic choice for blemish-prone skin and for freshening laundry, floors and bins — always diluted.
  • Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) — Bright, grassy citrus. A staple of Indian home sprays and mop water, and traditionally used outdoors as a natural insect deterrent.

How to use

Steam. 1–2 drops eucalyptus in a bowl of hot — not boiling — water, towel over the head.

Skin. Tea tree at 1–2% for blemish-prone areas; lavender at 1% in a facial oil.

Sleep. 4–6 drops lavender in a diffuser before bed.

Home. 10–15 drops lemongrass in mop water or a vinegar spray.

Dilution guide

Use Dilution Drops per 10 ml carrier oil
Face, sensitive skin, children over 6 1% 2 drops
Body, daily massage 2% 4 drops
Targeted use on a small area 3% 6 drops
Diffuser (100–300 ml tank) 5–8 drops in water

Safety & storage

  • Never apply undiluted essential oil to skin. Dilute in a carrier oil first.
  • Patch test on the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before wider use.
  • Not to be taken internally. Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets. Consult a doctor if pregnant, nursing or under medical care.
  • Store upright in the closed amber bottle, away from sunlight and heat. Flammable — keep away from open flame.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the Lavender & Rosemary set of 4?

One bottle. This one has eucalyptus, which makes it the better seasonal and steam set; the other has rosemary, which makes it the better hair set.

I am completely new to essential oils. Where do I start?

With a diffuser and one oil at a time. 5–8 drops in the water tank, 30 minutes, and see what you like. Move to diluted topical use once you know how your skin responds.

What is the right dilution?

1% for the face (1 drop per 5 ml carrier), 2–3% for the body (2–3 drops per 5 ml), and never neat on skin.

Do I need a carrier oil as well?

For anything you put on skin, yes. Jojoba, coconut, almond and grapeseed all work; jojoba is the most skin-like and the least greasy.

How long do these keep?

Two to three years for most, and one to two for cold-pressed citrus, which oxidises faster. Keep the bottles closed, upright, out of sunlight and away from heat.

Are the bottles individually packed?

Yes — these arrive as individual amber glass bottles with dropper caps, not in a gift box. If you need gift packaging, tell us in the order notes.
